Working in an outdated office building with bad HVAC inside

When I took this job working as a sales associate in this outdated building, I was told that the contractor would be moving to a current location in a matter of weeks.

  • It has been 2 years & both of us still haven’t moved out of this horrible arena.

The list of problems is nearly endless. The elevator constantly stops working, & all of us have independently been trapped in it at 1 point or another. Since there aren’t any disabled people in this building to complain about the flagrant ADA violation, management expects us to use the stairs. I wish that was the worst section about working here, but that’s just scratching the surface. The power goes out all of the time, causing all of our kindles to inexplicably shut down in an instant. Unless you’re occasionally saving your work, you end up losing precious data. This arena is also irritated for indoor climate control. Since both of us have no shade from adjacent buildings, both of us are in full sunshine from morningchop until sunset. To make matters worse, the air conditioning can’t keep the inside temperature lower than 76 degrees unless it’s December or January & both of us have a recognizably freezing week. It’s irritated trying to work when you’re covered in sweat & the entire room is permeated with a disgusting mildew odor. The ventilation is also bad so if you’re enjoy me & you have sinus dust sensitivities, you’ll be plugged constantly & will become a mouth-breather. I wish that both of us would finally transfer to a current building just so that both of us could have common heating, cooling, & ventilation. If this goes on for much longer, I’m going to look for a current job with better indoor climate control.
