I would say that the most comfortable place in my home is in my bed.
Well, that was the case until recently.
Slowly, my room started to become uncomfortable and I really didn’t understand the reason why. I thought there was some sort of issue with the HVAC system, but I didn’t know what it could be. It was strange to me because other rooms in the house felt just fine. In my room though, it started to feel overheated in the summer and too frosty in the winter. I even had to use a portable heater during the winters and a window A/C unit in the summers. Eventually, I thought it was all too ridiculous and I ended up calling an HVAC company. I told them about my situation and they said they would send out a professional. The HVAC professional looked everything over and he even checked the air filter. He seemed happy that the air filter was clean, but he said I did have a pretty serious problem. I was just waiting there for him to tell me as it seemed like forever for him to speak. He finally explained that there were a bunch of clogs in my ductwork system. He said he also found a few spots where there was air leaking, which was highly problematic and would cause my energy bills to skyrocket. I had to admit my bills were more costly than before, but I thought that was because I was using the portable heater in my room all the time. So he did a ductwork cleaning and a ductwork sealing and had my HVAC running great. This balanced out the heating and cooling in my bedroom and suddenly I didn’t have to use the window A/C or the portable heater!
