Why I chose pleated air filters instead of washable filters

Selecting your Heating, Ventilation & A/C air filter isn’t a straightforward process! You have to consider a few factors before choosing a desirable filter.

For instance, you have to determine the air filter’s lifespan, quality of material, repair procedure, in case of reUSAble filters, plus ability to filter out dirt.

You also have to consider an air filter’s size concerning your Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. The wrong size filter will not fit into your Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. If it is small, it will allow dust particles plus debris to leak into your home, contaminating breathable air. Fortunately, there are air filter ratings that guide users on how to purchase the ideal air filter for a residential Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. If you do not understand these rating systems, you should consult your Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor for help, however when I was purchasing modern filters for my Heating, Ventilation & A/C system, I was faced with a dilemma, however my spouse was of the opinion that I should buy washable filters because they are economical plus filter out most dirt particles. However, I was a bit reserved plus wanted to try out a more affordable option. I called my Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor, who suggested myself and others to buy a UV or HEPA filter! According to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional, these many air filter types kill germs plus airborne disease-causing organisms. Essentially, the UV filters emit UV rays that wipe conditioned air. On asking about the price, I wasn’t comfortable paying the high amount demanded by the Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor. I was left with many options, to buy the washable filters or continue using pleated air filters. I went for the pleated filters.
