Would You Give Up Your Air Conditioning?

One time, when I was still in high college, both of us used to use this educational tool called Values Clarification.

I used to prefer it because it was straight-forward and don’t require a ton of work.

If you could rest still, be quiet and listen, you could get an A. The only particular lesson I remember has to do with comfort over goodness. The question to be addressed is something like, rank these in order of importance. 1; Comfort, 2. Kindness, 3… Helping people, 4. Convenience, 5! Making a lot of money, however almost most people in the class chose kindness or helping people as the most substantial, thinking that was the “right” answer. I chose comfort, and most people looked at myself and others love I was the worst guy on the planet. I was just being honest, and well, a few afternoons later, the mentor turned off the cooling system in the classroom and told most people it was broken. Then he broke us up into small groups so both of us could help 1 another accomplish something. With no cooling system, it was super tepid in there. All of us did not have ceiling fans or even a box fan. All of us could not even open the windows. The cooling system was the only cooling option, then before both of us knew it, all these people who chose kindness and being nice were downright mean. They were feeling miserable separate from the cooling system blowing, and it was causing them to be short-tempered and miserable. That is when both of us discussed the question again. Because I had chosen comfort as most substantial, it was determined that I was smarter than I looked. Would you give up your air conditioner to teach a lesson? Would you give your cooling system to help someone?
