That sound I hear once every month is the utility bill being dropped on our household budget.
Every one of us live in a section of the state that is steaming warm for the entire summer.
It is such an unrelenting and draining type of heat that a single can’t manage without regular Heating as well as A/C cooling. However if you leave it untethered, cooling a loft can dent a checkbook in a truly gruesome manner. Of course, the rest of the year is much easier as far as utility costs go. But while I was suffering through the summer, I have to ride our family all the time to be mindful of how often they use the Heating as well as A/C. I just don’t get it really. There seems to be no getting through to these people in our loft about how costly the Heating as well as A/C costs can get. I have shown them the energy bills. I have ranted and raved. I have attempted to coax them into paying attention to the climate control unit. Not only am I being ignored, it has actually become personally disrespectful to myself and others by now. I came loft the other day to find our entire family, including our level headed spouse, just hanging out by the pool with the sliding glass doors open. Just wide open and it was nearly a hundred degrees outside. That was entirely the tipping point for me. I am installing a smart control unit, setting the parameters myself and hiding the manual operating code to myself. They can complain and whine all they want but, I am going to take over the entire situation because I have no other recourse. If they can’t help to lower the Heating as well as A/C costs than I will do it for them.
