I have come to realize that my youngsters are so spoiled compared to myself when I was definitely younger.
I will admit that I was probably spoiled too, but my own children seemed to be worse.
When I was easily young, I remember begging my dad to get a Nintendo proposal for playing video games. I was shocked when the guy bought me a Nintendo and totally speechless when the guy hooked it directly up to the back of the TV. All of us played the Nintendo games inside of our parents room due to the fact that we had no television in hours. I shared this room with my siblings and all of us had some bunk beds. Eventually my parents broke down and got us the outdated cable so we could play our own games in our own space. My own youngsters now have their own tablets, laptops, and televisions in their rooms. They also have a window air conditioner. They are totally spoiled and barely realize how lucky they have it. One of my children has a PS4 but still fights with many of the siblings and sisters just so they can argue. Some of these superb youngsters think it is foolish to spoil them. The window air conditioner is a good sign of that. When all of us were younger, there was a single window air conditioner in the living room. We didn’t have any central heating, ventilation, and AC and we certainly didn’t have a cooler machine of our own to keep us comfortable all day and all night.
