Working an A/C service job in a theme park

They say that location is the most important thing in real estate, but I think its the most important thing in life.

Where you are is so important to the opportunities life gives you.

If I had stayed in my small town, where I had a comfortable job and a place of my own, then I wouldn’t be thriving like I am right now. I packed up my work van and I drove south, all the way to Florida to the land of the theme park. There are a half dozen major theme parks in one city, and a lot more small ones. As an HVAC specialist, I thought this would be a great place to try and get a job and build a career. I had no idea how right I was! Did you know that these theme parks hire entire HVAc contracting firms to send in work crews, to work in shifts, around the clock. The heat in this part of the country is no joke, and paying customers want as much air conditioning as possible. Aside from all the workers focused on cooling systems in the carious rides, amusements, and eateries, there are also behind the scenes HVAC techs. This is what I hope to achieve one day, the job of working on the cooling systems in dressing rooms, special effects studios, and control rooms where the rides are supervised. I would still be fixing air conditioners, just like I do now, but I would love to see every facet of the theme park from the other side of the curtain.
