Swampy Sunset

One of our number one things I enjoy on a Thursday night is to take a ride downtown to the lakeshore and watch the sunset over the water.

This summer time my enjoyable friend and I have been disappointed, however, because of the fact that are experiencing one of the hottest seasons on record.

The fact that it is still over 75 degrees as the sunlight is setting makes it a actually uncomfortable time. The humidity levels at night rarely drops below ninety percent and my enjoyable friend and I have to lay in the motorcar with the air conditioner running. Not exactly the most affectionate way to watch the sunlight go down… I know I should be thankful for having air conditioner in the motorcar to begin with. It is just that I cherish the aroma of the water, breeze in my face, and sounds of the seabirds. I can’t appreciate any of that while sitting in the car. The chilly air coming from the vents does not compare to a fresh one from over the water. My hubby tried making it better by purchasing one of those CD’s with ocean sounds and a “beach” scented air fresheners. I have to deliver him credit for the efforts although I just couldn’t relax and get into the sunset mood. I am hoping that once Fall arrives and the temperatures start to cool off my enjoyable friend and I can resume our Thursday night strolls along the water and watch the sunset like my enjoyable friend and I used to. This hot and muggy summer time can not end soon enough for me. Not cooling off at night is the worst part by far.
