Heating repair in the barns and stables

Growing up on a farm makes for an interesting childhood. I feel that I was blessed to have parents as progressive and understanding as they were, because I was the only nerd of the family. My folks are good, hearty midwestern stock, and all of my siblings and cousins are the same way. They are big, beefy people with big, rugged hands, who seem to have been born to work on a farm. Not me, I am thin and reedy, and live inside my own head most of the time. When I graduated high school with honors, my dad said he couldn’t afford to send me to college, but wanted to send me to HVAC certification school so that I could earn a living and help out on the farm at the same time. I had never considered being an HVAC tech before, but I knew it would be the best opportunity I had to continue my education. It turns out that it was a great choice, because now I make a good living providing HVAC services for all the other local farmers. You would be surprised at how much heating work I get just from farmers who want to take care of their livestock. We get some bitter and cold winter weather around here, and the livestock need adequate heating in the barns and stables to keep them safe and healthy. Only about 10% of my work involves cooling systems, because the space heaters in the barns get damaged regularly and it seems that they always need a tune-up.
