This region relies on the heat pump for heating and cooling

When I moved from living all of my life up north, I wasn’t so sure about all the changes in store for me. Would I find the sort of food that I have always known and loved? Would people hate me because I’m from the north? How would I get through winter without a gas furnace. HVAC heating is for sure the major issue when it comes to weather and temperature up north. Well, that was going to be flipped on its head when I moved to the south. The region I moved to was known for the lovely, mild winter as much as it was known the brutal heat of summer. I was a bit thrown off by all of that. I lived so far north that I didn’t really even consider air conditioning. If the heat got unbearable, I simply threw in a window air conditioner and that sufficed. It was going to be a whole new ballgame down south. Where I moved, the heat pump is the residential HVAC method of choice. The heat pump handles the HVAC cooling and whatever heating might be necessary as well. I just wasn’t so sure about the heat pump and the heating. While the winters were mostly mild, I knew that this region got its fair share of cold snaps as well. Would the heat pump provide the sort of HVAC heating that I had become accustomed too? Could I really do without a gas furnace? Well the answer to both those heat pump questions was a huge yes. I’ve been so impressed with both the heating and cooling I get from the heat pump.
