The day I thought twice about even opening the garage door on a Saturday morning was the day that I realized a change was needed.
Over the course of several years, the garage went from an organized, clean space to a wasteland.
And that’s not really much of an exaggeration. The garage was so noxious and gross that you couldn’t be out there for any amount of time without opening the garage door. It was just that foul. When I was looking for some air conditioning and solitude during the pandemic, I sure wasn’t getting it in the garage. For one thing, the garage didn’t have any heating and cooling. To me, that seems like sort of a waste really. Like, I’m not exactly sure why we don’t see more garages that have air conditioning already. The only time I see HVAC in garages are in houses that are much, much fancier than mine. So the fact that I wanted to utilize the garage space for myself and the fact that it was a quagmire, finally got me proactive. It took me a couple of weekends to fully clear out the garage so I could start over. But before I did that, I called the HVAC company to come out and install a ductless heat pump. This was the answer to my dreams of a garage with air conditioning. It’s really awesome to have the ductless heat pump. This thing doesn’t have to stay on all the time but it’s there to produce great heating and cooling comfort on demand. Really, it’s the ideal solution for heating and cooling a garage.
