Occasionally I wonder if I’m completely insane… There’s just something about other humans that will drive me to our splitting point; I will sacrifice anything for somebody that I love.
That’s why, when our guy was swiftly having unexpected health complications I was right at his side, ready to follow him to every dentist’s appointment and diagnostic test, and admittedly, it is a lot to ask of anybody, but I was ready to volunteer, then for many weeks, I have been escorting him all over the city for his many meetings with health professionals, but recently, the people I was with and I attended an MRI scan together which wound up being the most miserable of all the dentist’s appointments so far.
To be fair, the appointment wasn’t far away. The two of us jumped in the car, and by the time the A/C method was cool, the people I was with and I had arrived at the healthcare center! However, when the people I was with and I got inside the waiting room, the A/C method was turned much higher than I could ever tolerate. They must have had the control component turned down to about 55 degrees. It felt like they had a commercial cooling method blowing refrigerated air into the waiting room from every air vent. Rather than resting in a dentist’s office, it was more like resting in a walk-in freezer! Of course, our guy’s appointment got delayed and the people I was with and I waited for a legitimately long time in the frigid A/C! Even after they brought him back for the scan, I sat in our seat shivering under the sizable overhead air vents and dreaming of a warm, sizzling desert getaway. By the time the people I was with and I left the dentist’s office, I was gleeful to lay in the burning sizzling car, my guy never even thanked me for taking him.
