Sometimes I wonder why we even have air conditioning.
- Where we live, it doesn’t really seem to be all that necessary.
But there are times during the brief summer where HVAC cooling comes in handy. However, I never had central air conditioning before just a few years ago. If there was a real hot spell, I might throw the old window unit air conditioner in for a month or more. That was about the extent of our air conditioning. Our region is really all about the winter. That is what I think about when it comes to HVAC. Air conditioning barely even registers. Still, my wife was after me for years to get central air conditioning. We’re both getting up there in age and she really wanted to be comfortable inside for the entire summer. So I called the HVAC professionals at the HVAC company I have done business with for decades. These people are really just the best. I know the owner as we were one of his first customers when he was starting out. All of us were much younger and basically getting started out in life back then. The owner of the HVAC company and I were able to come to reasonable terms for adding air conditioning to our HVAC system. I have to say that it is very comfortable if you’re one to sit inside during the heat of the day. But now, I have to make sure to add the air conditioner to my winter HVAC preparations list. This is because I have to cover the HVAC cabinet outside in order to protect it from the harsh elements of winter.
