I have had numerous conversations with people where I have asked them if they would rather be too hot or too cold, and the majority of people stated that they would rather be too cold because you can typically put layers on, but when it is too hot it is not typically possible to add layers, then i did some research on this topic and I found a really interesting study. In this study, participants were placed in a waiting room that resembled a medical waiting room. The first area of the learn took place in the Wintertime, and the second area of the learn took place in the warm season. In the Wintertime, participants had to lay in the waiting room for an hour on a cold day. The A/C was turned on instead of the heat. The scientists who conducted the study recorded every single time a single of the participants (there were 10 total) complained about the temperature in the room. In the warm season, the same 10 participants sat in the same waiting room for an hour. The difference was that it was a hot day, and the heat was turned on instead of the A/C. The scientists recorded every single time a participant complained about the temperature this time as well, then personally, when I learn this learn I thought to myself that I would not want to be a participant because I do not handle being too cold or too hot absolutely well. The results showed that more people complained that it was too hot in the group with the heat in the warm season, than the group with the A/C in the Wintertime.
