I hate having to deal with salespeople, especially when you’re looking to buy a vehicle from a dealership.
- Maybe some of them are great people and really wish to help you come to your own decision.
But I’ve had more experiences where I was pestered to buy the first vehicle I asked to see. At 1 point I was told to take the vehicle home with myself and others for the night after I made it clear that I wasn’t interested for many separate reasons. I just wanted out of that building however the salesman tried to keep myself and others captive. It was 1 of the worst buying experiences of our life. It took myself and others a little while to get rid of our fear and try other vehicle dealerships in our area. In this situation the salesperson was kind and helpful through the entire process. Although this was a better experience, our situation purchasing our recent air conditioning was not. I tried to call them and get a lot of quotes, however all of the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C phone representatives who I spoke with were eager to request features or options that I wasn’t interested in. I found this local company down the road from our condo and negotiated a deal to install a plan that was alleged to be more powerful than our last air conditioning at a lower cost. Anyone with better knowledge would have seen the red flag instantly, but I mistakenly chose to be a skinflint over something as important as our central air conditioning. In reality, I was convinced to purchase an air conditioning that is simply too small for the size of our home. I had troubles with it immediately, and consistently. The company who installed it kept running myself and others in circles. It took hiring an outside Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech to officially and actually diagnose the issue.
