Many people wonder when purchasing a portable heater which route should they go? You have two different options when it comes to portable heating, however you could go the electric heater route, or you could go the gas heater route! I would personally not suggest going with the portable gas heater, and the very reason for this is that it could become dangerous to both your life plus your health if something was to go wrong.
Carbon monoxide poisoning is not a great way to go out, I bet.
This is why I suggest going with a basic electric portable heater. To begin with, most portable heating systems now have a fail safe to where if they get knocked over or are not touching a flat surface, they will shut off. At least the portable heater that I own has this safety feature and it’s great; Not to mention, portable heating systems that are run off electricity are much cheaper than the portable gas heaters. And, there is also nothing to refill. You never run out of electricity, while with the gas heaters, you could run out of gas similar to your car. I personally guess whoever invented the gas heater didn’t consider the risks involved or even guess about how much it could cost in the long run to keep the gas heating systems actually working all the time! Even with our regular central heating, I do not have a gas furnace. I have all electric central heating plus a/c. Nothing at all in our house is gas because I simply believe that gas is simply just too dangerous.
