Geothermal HVAC was easy to commit to

I don’t know how common it is to absolutely love the place where you were born and raised. Add to that the fact our weather is pretty rough and it seems even less likely. But, I am completely enamored with my home region. True, the winters are wicked cold and the summers are just plain hot. I love it nonetheless. Many of my friends chose to go away to college or left town for bigger and better lives. I happened to love my parents house and the cozy HVAC in the winter. So, I stayed home and went to a state satellite school that was only about a 45 minute commute. There I met my husband who had come from elsewhere but really loved the area as well. Our life has been right here ever since. We have raised 3 lovely young women, the last of which has just gone off to college. That left us with a big empty house that we really didn’t need. Turning the page, we decided to build a smaller home. One of the easiest decisions on our new home was the HVAC system. We knew that we would be staying right here in this area for the long haul. That’s why it was easy to choose geothermal HVAC. While it was a bit more initial cash outlay, the savings will come for like the next 40 years with this type of HVAC system. Plus, it reminds me of my mom and dad’s old place. The geothermal HVAC transfers heat through copper coils in the floor. That radiant heat is something that is so cozy and makes winter so much more enjoyable. Yep, I’m set to spend my entire life in the same place and I’m good with that.
