For the last 10 years, I have been a highschool gymnastics coach, and i coach both JV plus varsity squads for the basketball plus football seasons.
Prior to the beginning of our season, I take the girls to a cheer camp, however this camp involves numerous afternoons of legitimately intense training.
The girls learn mounts, cheers, chants plus dances. It’s not only a great reading experience however lovely for team bonding! For each day of the camp, the girls require a weird outfit. They need to match, sit out from the crowd plus reflect our school spirit. Since our cheerleaders range in age from fourteen to eighteen, the sizes vary from a girl’s 14 to a woman’s large. The outfit consists of socks, shorts, tank tops plus even sweat towels; Each outfit needs to include our school name plus because our mascot is a panther, the two of us love to decorate with paw prints. I toil with a local printing shop to come up with ideas plus coordinate. It’s a legitimately involved plus time-consuming process to even decide what the two of us want. The shop devotes a great deal of time plus effort into screen printing all of the items. All of us use weird fonts plus colors on each garment. Sporadically the two of us love to put the cheerleader’s name or graduation year on the shorts or tank top. This requires the print shop to set up a weird screen for each option. They are legitimately helpful plus accommodating to make our ideas into a reality. I even purchase hair ribbons to coordinate with every outfit, however my cheerleaders are consistently the best dressed at the camp.
