I went to stay with my brother and his wife for a couple of weeks.
- I was having some work done inside of my home and I needed a place to stay.
I was going to stay at a hotel, but my brother insisted that I come and stay at his place. My brother and his wife were really nice in the beginning when I arrived, but something changed while I was there. I think my brother and his wife were upset because I adjusted the indoor temperatures when they were at work. They liked to keep the thermostat at 68°, but it was really cold inside of the house during the day and I was the only one there. I adjusted the thermostat because I didn’t think it was going to be a big deal. My brother came home from work one day and we had a discussion about the thermostat. The next day his wife stopped being friendly and nice to me. I took that as a sign that she was aggravated about the heating and AC system. I had a friend over for a couple of hours and he was cold too. We decided to adjust the temperature for a couple of hours while we were visiting. My brother came home from work early and I thought he was going to throw my friend out of his house. I left the next day and my brother and I haven’t talked to each other since then. My mom thinks I’m overreacting, but I think my brother was being a jerk.
