There aren’t too many things that make me madder than to pay too much for an item or service.
- It makes me crazy to think that I didn’t get the value promised from any transaction.
But, I especially hate it when I feel like I have been had by someone who claims to be a professional. This is clearly evident when I’m dealing with any sort of legal matter. I use an attorney to represent my interest only to be robbed by the fees. Not sure which is worse, paying someone to do nothing or to be my lawyer. Yet, there are times in this world where the lack of professional experience can cost you far more money. This is very true in the case of HVAC repair. I don’t know about you but, I need my HVAC. I live in a part of the country that has a cold winter and a really hot summer. It’s like we landed the worst weather bonus. Living without tip top HVAC under those conditions would simply be madness. I have golf buddies that will have some shade mechanic come over and do HVAC repair on a machine worth thousands of dollars. That makes about as much sense as going to the car dealer to get a flu shot. So, when it’s time for me to get proper HVAC repair, I only call in the professionals from my local HVAC company. I know they guarantee their work because they can. These people know what they are doing and have the ongoing certifications to prove it. HVAC people are actually one of the few professional outfits that I completely respect.
