I don’t like my HVAC housing

After I retired I started spending more time in the yard.

I switched up all the landscaping, and fired the greenkeeping crew that I had been paying.

Since I had the time, I decided to beautify my property. First I hung up wooden trellises along the front of the house, and planted some fast-growing vines that overtook the framework in a matter of weeks. I put in a small vegetable garden in the backyard, and am eagerly anticipating my first crops! I think I have worked some real magic on my property, but there is still one sticking point I am trying to beautify. The exterior components of my HVAC system are kept inside an ugly green metal housing that stands out like a sore thumb in my pretty yard. I think that everyone has this kind of HVAC housing in their yard, because it is an integral part of the system. There was no way to get rid of it without ruining the HVAC system itself. I asked an HVAC contractor about moving the housing into the backyard, but he explained how much that would cost. Although I want my yard to look better, I didn’t want to pay the HVAC contractor two thousand dollars to move it. Finally I decided to paint the exterior of the housing with an array of pretty flowers, and then to plant real flowers in the area around the HVAC housing. In a few months the real flowers will blend in with the painted flowers, and the HVAC housing will be practically invisible to the naked eye.
