The air conditioner service almost made us lose our reservation

I had been dying to dine at the newest hotel in town.

I had heard so many excellent reviews about it that it made me want to go even more.

My husband surprised me last week with a dinner reservation. I was elated at the surprise. We completely forgot that on the day of the reservation, we had also scheduled our annual air conditioner service. We could not postpone since a/c workers were in high demand considering that it is peak season. We had called several cooling corporations before we found an indoor comfort business with a few a/c professionals that had become available. Besides the annual air conditioner tune-up, we needed a cooling specialist to look at the ductless mini-split system. I had noticed the split in the living room and kitchen would disburse warm air instead of cool. We did not want a new air conditioning system as we had not budgeted for a new quality HVAC this soon. The last HVAC installation was barely five years old. Thankfully, the technicians were prompt, swift, and efficient. They worked on the unit and fixed it. They then examined the electric heat pump in the north wing of the house and upgraded our digital thermostat. We were pushing them out of the house as we were running late for our reservation, and we couldn’t afford to lose it. We were grateful for the efficient technicians who provided help with indoor comfort fast enough. We almost lost our reservations. The restaurant was everything I had read and more. The comfort and air quality were of the highest quality, and the food was terrific.
