Through all my years I never had great luck with neighbors, from the mornings of residing in a college dorm on our school campus all the way up to my recent stint where I spent months residing under the fist of a ruthless apartment association. College residing was taxing because I wasn’t a party dude and would spend most of our mornings studying or trying to sleep so I could get up early the following morning. So many of our peers would drink and blast songs at night, even on weekdays. It got so annoying that I had to petition for approval to live off campus in an apartment where I could finally get some peace. Although I hated hearing noise from neighbors in our multiple apartments over the years, it wasn’t quite as awful as school until I purchased our last condominium. That ended in myself and others having to sell our device because the next door neighbor kept complaining that our air conditioning unit was running too much and creating noise outside. I told our most current neighbor, who happens to be a handyman, about that story. It’s funny because almost everyone’s Heating, Ventilation, and A/C condensers were making noise outside as often as mine was. It’s so nice that our current neighbor is such a great friend, and he will periodically trade his labor for food since I’m an avid cook. If there are ever troubles going on with our air conditioning, I can ask him to take a look. Although he might be a handyman now, he was a licensed and certified heating and cooling tech for nearly 20 years. I trust his knowledge and knowledge over any random worker from a local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation.
