My mom has called every day this week with the same complaint
My mom moved to a new nursing home a couple of weeks ago, and all she does is complain, complain, and complain some more. I swear that she finds something wrong every single day. When she first moved into the new place, she complained about her room. She didn’t like the fact that she could hear the boiler running. Her room was on the west side of the building, close to the boiler. I admit that I could hear a slight sound when the boiler was running, but I didn’t think it was annoying enough to demand moving rooms. The director of the nursing home agreed to move my mom as soon as a different room was available. A couple of days later, my mom called me worried that the staff was poisoning her food. I told my mom that her eggs, toast, and juice were fine. This week, my Mom called to tell me that her neighbor is smoking weed. She told me that she can smell marijuana in the ductwork. I called the nursing home and the staff went to her room to inspect the ductwork. They also talked to the neighbor in the next room. The staff told me that they did not smell any odd odors in the ductwork. My mom has called every day this week with the same complaint. I’m going to visit her on Saturday. I hope I can convince her to stop this nonsense. My mom called the police twice this week to report drug crimes and the nursing home director is starting to become agitated and irritated.
