You have two different choices when it comes to portable heating, you could go the electric space heater route, or you could go the gas heater route. I would personally not advocate going with the portable gas heater. The reason for this is that it could become dangerous to both your life and your health if something was to go wrong. Carbon monoxide poisoning is not a good way to go out. This is why I advocate going with a basic electric portable space heater, because most portable space heaters nowadays have a safety feature to where if they get knocked over or are not touching a flat surface, they will shut off. At least the portable space heaters have this safety function and it’s great, Not to mention, portable space heaters that are run on electricity are much cheaper than the portable gas heaters. And, there is also nothing to refill. You never run out of electricity, while with the gas space heaters, you could run out of gas just like your car. I personally know whoever invented the gas space heater didn’t know about the risks involved or even know about how much it could cost in the long run to keep the gas space heater running all the time, but even with our usual central heating, I do not have a gas furnace. I have all electric central heating and A/C. Nothing in our house is gas because I believe that gas is just simply too dangerous.
