Many people wonder when getting a portable heater which route should they go? You have 2 different choices when it comes to portable heating.
You could go the electric space heater route, or you could go the gas heater route.
I would personally not recommend going with the portable gas heater. The reason for this is that it could become dangerous to both your life and health if something was to go wrong. Carbon monoxide poisoning is not a great way to go out. This is why I recommend going with a basic electric portable space heater. Most portable space heaters today have safety features to where if they get knocked over or are not touching a flat surface, they will shut off. At least the portable space heater I have has this safe function and it’s great. Not to mention, portable space heaters that are run on electric are much cheaper than the portable gas heaters. And, there is also nothing to refill. You never will run out of electric, while with the gas space heaters, you could run out of gas just like your car. I personally think whoever invented the gas space heater didn’t think about the risks involved or even think about how much it could cost in the long run to keep the gas space heaters working all the time. Even with my regular central heating, I do not have a gas furnace. I have all electric central heating and air conditioning. Nothing in my home is gas because I simply feel that gas is just simply just too dangerous.
