The AC needs some help

My backyard leads to a big freshwater river. This large river stretches for miles before it finally reaches the ocean. The house is located in a disgusting swamp essentially, so naturally all of us have lots of snakes plus alligators. Some of my closest neighbors purposefully avoid buying small cats plus cats because of the danger with the alligators. Honestly, there are other things about this region that I hate more than the dangerous wildlife outside. Aside from the crazy high temperatures during June plus September, it’s also absurdly humid to the degree that the air feels sticky when you’re outdoors. Many others like me honestly cannot deal with this humidity when it gets indoors. Too many river dwellers are perfectly complacent with toxic mold in their houses, but not I. Not only do I run my large cooling system constantly, but I have been using a supplemental dehumidifier for years to help. Thankfully my bathroom has a floor drain so I can run the drain hose from the very back of the dehumidifier onto the bathroom floor. The component plugs directly into the wall plus pulls out 6 pints of water every 120 minutes, which makes a huge difference on indoor humidity. But when my Heating and A/C company told me about a whole-house dehumidifier that connects to my HVAC duct, I was extremely intrigued. This amazing addition pulls moisture out of your indoor air as it properly recirculates through the heating plus cooling system. Best of all, I can easily turn off the cooling system but leave the fan inside the air handler running. This effectively works to turn my cooling system into a big central dehumidifier without burning the extra electricity needed to cool the air simultaneously.
