I’m going to sit this one out

My new task is taking a lot out of me everyday at this point.

Even if I’m lucky to show up to my task without a terrible mood accompanying me, I’m sure to get one after a minute of interacting with my coworkers who sits right by me.

They can be frustrating, especially the guy who is constantly making noise. He honestly fidgets on a level I have never before seen in another guy. He’s either addicted to some sort of prescription stimulants or he drinks too much coffee. Whether he’s creaking his chair on purpose, clicking a pen, talking loudly into the cellphone, or slamming his keyboard with some sort of brute force, I struggle to stay focused during my shift. I asked my boss if I could use a set of headphones plus listen to songs at low volume, even though he refused my request. It’s entirely not my favorite task of all time, but it isn’t the worst either. Occasionally I’m happy to be granted the opportunity to take an afternoon off from task if I really need to make a nurse’s appointment or meet a lovely relative at the airport. For instance, I took this afternoon off from my task to monitor the difficult installation of my new central cooling system. My former Heating and A/C plan actually lasted for 18 years before the air handler finally quit working. It was finally time for me to get a new cooling system altogether, especially knowing how inefficient my old plan was to operate. Thankfully, the installation of my new cooling system went off without a hitch. I actually made sure that the companys vacuumed my copper refrigerant tubes, as well, before putting in the new condenser. This prevents any old coolant from regularly contaminating the new plan plus damaging its compressor outside.
