Having so much happen all at once is pretty upsetting. It’s particularly strenuous when you’re someone who entirely enjoys the constant day to day grind. I am that guy and I also have a difficult time facing lots of emotional turmoil as well. It all started when my partner and I began looking to buy a home. All of us have been married almost 3 years and were in a position to purchase our first starter home. We found the home and were about to close on it when we decided to adopt. Then, just a few weeks after that, my partner was furloughed from his job. It is hopefully a temporary situation but we had to put the stop on the house. Yet, the lease on the house we were living in was up. Thankfully short term house rental saved us. If it wasn’t for being able to rent on a month to month lease, we might be in a real tight space. I can’t imagine having to transfer back in with one of our parents while my partner was out of a job and getting a new baby at the same time. The short term house rental allowed us a much needed break. We just weren’t sure what to do since we would be losing a chunk of our income. There will be unemployment payments for at least 6 months. Hopefully, his corporation can get straightened out by them. The month to month lease on this short term house rental is less than our old apartment. That will help us cut costs as well. I know things are insane right now. But we are focusing on all the positives and just moving forward.
